10 Top Reasons You CAN Afford to Think Creative
When Money is Tight it is Time For Some Creative Thinking
Who can afford to spend money on creative thinking when funds have been cut for R& D, employee programs and marketing initiatives? In today’s bleak financial outlook, who can justify money spent on box busting idea generation?
Anyone.
Here are my top 10 reasons why you can afford to employ creative business thinking (creative thinking in general for that matter) when the housing market has plummeted and your pension plan investments are as cloudy as an autumn day in Maine:

10. Are you kidding me? If you can afford coffee at Starbucks and a notepad, you can get creative about your situation. (If not, I hear McDonalds is serving up lattes!)

9. How much have you paid for a vigorous walk, a quiet place to think, or a hike in the woods lately? A couple hours without your cell phone, with fresh oxygen and no paperwork provides creative juices and new perspectives.
8. How long has it been since you felt the passion of team spirit in your office – where individuals rally around an idea and break it into doable pieces they can all be a part of?
Think of the money you can make, or save, when team members feel connected to solutions.
7. One idea, one simple little thought, can alter the path of your entire business. JUST ONE.
If you care to debate this idea, may I kindly remind you of a few business turnarounds from one single idea?
- The drive thru
- The PC
- Yoga Clothes For Wardrobes
- If size matters – let’s make it bigger!
I suspect that you are getting the point!
6. Creative thinking takes the "im" out of possible and leaves the door open for something to take “impossible’s” place. Otherwise – the word STUCK comes to mind.
5. Have you walked into a restaurant that is years behind in customer service standards, menu offerings or décor and wondered: “What is this guy thinking? With this location he/she is setting on a gold mine!” It seemed so simple to you because you are not attached to the fears and prisms that keep this business owner stagnant, and losing money. You are free to think creatively.
4. The cost of making the same mistakes this year that you made last year is eating up your profits! How long can you last?
3. We are in a GLOBAL market and no longer limited or protected by our community business model. Adjustments are required or prepare your “fading into the sunset” sonnet.

2. Creative thought is behind innovation – innovation and implementation is power. Period.
And Now ...
For The Number One Reason You Can Afford to Get Creative...
